Anyone still with me here? Okay, well as you can see the holiday’s (and birthday’s) took hold of me and I’m just now being freed lol. Been trying to tidy up my Q*Bee page and finally got around to washing my quilt… only took me 10 months. :/ So I got that updated finally and I think I might just go ahead and join the Pixel Group with Mindy’s persuasion lol. Love ya girl!

Not much really going on around here, we’re all just adjusting to going back to our regular schedules now that school is back in session and hubby’s back at work. Gonna take this afternoon and finish taking down the decorations on the Christmas tree and get it all put away finally.

We spent Christmas in Virginia btw, which was nice since we hadn’t been up there since the 1st weekend in September for the opening Hokies football game. When we went there we were only there for a day so we didn’t get to visit any family aside from hubby’s parents, so it was really nice to actually hang out and visit half of the family and most of our friends (the other half of the family is in West Virginia and mine is mostly in California).

Haley was happy she finally got the American Girl doll she REALLY wanted and Michael got himself a Nintendo DSi XL he wanted all from Santa. I got the Kitchenaid Stand Mixer I’ve wanted for like forever from hubby and I got him the PS3 Game Console. So we had a great Christmas and since we were all good little boy’s & girl’s we got great presents this year lol.

Now I gotta scurry off and get some stuff done before the kiddo’s come home from school (3 day weekend already lol)! TTFN!

So it’s Red Ribbon Week at the kiddo’s school and each day had a theme for the kids to participate in, today was dress up as a character from a book or career person. Michael asked me if it was okay for him to wear his Captain America costume to school (without the mask cuz those weren’t allowed), I told him of course because technically that character IS in books which tell stories plus he’s been around since 1941 so people know he’s a story character lol. Haley decided to go the career path and threw her apron on and went as a Baker, she thought she could make it out of the house with all my kitchen utensils & the vanilla extract unnoticed though! Crazy kid.

Went to the school this morning for the awards ceremony, Haley made it on the all ‘A Honor Roll’. She told me earlier this year when school ended for the Summer that she was going to try extra hard to get the all A’s Year Round Honor Roll for this school year lol. She’s got an awesome teacher and so far she’s doing great!

Going to paint and carve pumpkins tonight while we watch “It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!” and “The Nightmare Before Christmas”. Maybe I’ll make us some goodies to snack on or something. Popcorn for sure tonight.

Before I cut this short again I think I finally got the hang of my cake pop decorating! Woot, check out my pumpkin spice filled pumpkin pops!

See what happens when no one reminds me I was supposed to post? Lol, sheesh more than a week later! It really is too bad that not a lot of people blog anymore and sometimes I wonder if I should stop altogether and just go back to a standard website with nothing but little tidbits here and there adorning the site. However, I think I would miss it when the day’s come where I need to vent or brag or whatever about something in life that I feel is worth mentioning. I have a few things going on right now here at home, one would be planning both kids birthday parties all while dealing with the holiday’s too! Haley’s turning 10 in 3 weeks and Michael will be turning 7 two weeks before Christmas…. can we say stress? Yup just a little bit lol.

Obviously hubby did make it back from his deployment and thankfully safe and sound. We found out he won’t be deploying anymore while we’re currently stationed here in Charleston and we are now looking at what our options are for bases in the next year. Anyhoo, gonna get on here later tonight when the kids are in bed and discuss something else.

I’m still here I promise! Just been keeping busy and trying not to spend all day on my computer (or laptop) as I used to. I’ll update later this week with some actual content and to update my Quilting Bee Quilt, if I’m slacking come poke me on Facebook please as I tend to have a bad memory at times lol!
