I did get my book at midnight… well 12:01 am to be exact, lol! What a wonderful read I tell ya! Only a well written book can keep me reading it without wanting to put it down, if it weren’t for my kids and hubby constantly calling me to get my attention I would’ve finished Monday night instead of Tuesday morning :/

Well let me tell you why it took me so long to read it now, lol…. Thursday afternoon we left for VA and didn’t make it there in the time we usually do due to a lane closure up in NC (I wish there was an easier way than going through Charlotte) and then we hit some SERIOUS stormy weather once in VA… oh man let me tell you that weather was SCARY!!! It got REALLY dark and the only light was the lightning and what you could see of the cars headlights o.O! We didn’t make it to hubby’s parents house until around 10pm… oye I hate being out in those type of storms So Friday morning we wake up and get some snacks for the drive to WV, come back and get our baggage transfered over to the van (it’s got room for all of us, lol) and head out to WV around 1pm… once there we go to check into our hotel room and find we have to wait till later to get our room key because they weren’t done cleaning the room and whatnot. Around 5pm we head out to the church where all the family is gathering for the weekend info and then dinner afterwards downstairs. I was so distracted by the thought that in only a few short hours I would have my greedy little paws on my copy of Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows!! Lol, it was a sad sight I tell ya… my FIL kept smiling and shaking his head at me because he knew I was just trying to hide my excitement for the book .

So around 11pm that night we finally (by we I mean my cousins and I, lol) are let into the bookstore where they have the first movie playing along with some punch and cookies to bide out time We just pretty much stood there waiting and talking about whatever… oh and observing some of the costumes that some people showed up in, this one little girl was SO adorable though wearing from head to toe her Hogwart’s clothing and I think the bloody clock even slowed down on the last 20 minutes, rofl!! Finally we counted down the last 15 seconds and the owner cut open the first box of books… I think I managed #3 or #4 in line (which wasn’t really a line, but more like a crowd around the box). I called hubby when we were finally on our way back to the hotel room and he was still at the bar with some of our other cousins, so I took myself to the room got comfy and laid down to read at least 2 chapters before finally succumbing to sleep around 1-something am, lol.

Saturday we got up and left our room around 11am to head out to a cousin’s (I have no idea how many there are or if was an uncle now.. sorry family) house to help set up tables, chairs, food and whatnot. David and I ended up going over to Wal-Mart (which btw I REALLY hate having to go to) to pick up some pants for Michael (the weather was MUCH cooler than anyone had anticipated) and back to the hotel room to grab me a pair of jeans, I managed a break sometime during the afternoon festivities (which lasted till about 8pm) to read another 2 chapters of the book while Michael played around in the van . Finally we said our good bye’s there and went back to Papaw’s house (hubby’s grandfather) stood there a while and then headed back to our room… I had absolutely NO energy left to read that night I was so flippin’ tired that it took less than 10 minutes for me to be sound asleep, lol! Sunday I woke up early but my neck was hurting from not sleeping well, so instead of reading that early I decided to watch a movie while hubby was snoring soundly, I got to watch The Devil Wears Prada… that was a really cute movie and I actually really liked it Once hubby got up we showered, checked out, and then headed back to Papaw’s house to say our good bye’s and whatnot’s again, lol. The 2 hour drive back to VA felt semi short, mainly because I was reading my book again, lol! Unfortunately, that was all I got to read that day because as soon as we got to David’s parents house we dropped all our stuff off and got back in the van to go to our cousins birthday party (she’s about 2 years older than Haley I believe), then after we got back from that (which btw we were all yawning by the time it was time to leave the party) I barely managed enough time to get a potty break before we were off to meet our friend’s who wanted us to join them for dinner (which btw we didn’t eat because we ate at the party). We got back to the house around midnight and went straight to bed, lol! Monday morning we spent it packing stuff back up and loading the car again… got back on the road around noon *yawn again*. I spent the whole ride (around 6 hours) reading the book and when we got home we unpacked most of our stuff and got dinner down and then I went back to reading… until hubby demanded that I put my book down… WITH ONLY 4 FLIPPIN’ CHAPTERS LEFT!!! OYE! I was so irked that I had to quit while I was ahead *pouts* Anyhoo, so Tuesday morning I woke up and the first thing I did was finish reading the book, lol!

I LOVED the book! I’m not gonna lie it definitely packs a bunch in the emotions department and this is how good it was, in several chapters of the book I found my hands would get cold clammy and start shaking, lol! I was LITERALLY scared in several chapters of the book and man several of the chapters even had me crying I know sap ain’t I, lol! Anyhoo, if you haven’t yet read it don’t worry I’m not spoiling it for you Several things that I had suspected from books past had finally come to light and it ended pretty much as I had hoped/prayed/and kind of expected with several twists Oh and then I got online to Mugglenet.com and found out that Kate Moss will be playing Narcissa Malfoy in the next movie!! Oooh I think she’ll do pretty good if you ask me, kinda what I would imagine Cissy to look like too, also added to the cast is Joseph Fiennes (sp) and Stuart Townsend (no word yet on which character those two will be playing yet) AND then today I read that JKR has a special plan to write a HP Encyclopedia to explain everything about the books and explore what happens to all of the characters that survived Book 7. So this is NOT completely the end of Harry and I’m glad that I’ll be able to look forward to more HP stuff in the future

So with the book less than 3 days away now (if you’re on the East Coast ), I thought I’d go catch up on some Harry Potter news over at MuggleNet. Well, as I was reading the articles there I ran into this bit of news :

Scholastic gets subpoena to identify spoiler
Scholastic gets subpoena to identify spoiler The LA Times is reporting that the US Harry Potter publisher obtained a subpoena to learn the identity of a user who allegedly posted copies of Deathly Hallows on a California website.

Scholastic said in a court filing Monday that “materials hosted on Photobucket.com’s system” contain materials that infringe copyrights owned by Scholastic and J.K. Rowling, author of the Harry Potter books. Photobucket.com, a News Corp. unit, is a website for sharing photos and videos on social networks such as MySpace.

The subpoena was sent to Gaia Interactive Inc. in San Jose seeking the identity of a user on gaiaonline.com, a social network, according to the filing in San Francisco federal court.

Gaia complied with the subpoena, removed the material and temporarily banned the user from the site, said Gaia spokesman Bill Danon.

I have got to say, there are some real sad people out there who find it amusing to spoil the fun in reading a story by giving away major parts to the story. I hope they really stick it to this person… where it really hurts !! Unfortunately for some of those Gaia Online members, they probably read the real thing I’m just glad I never got an account there or I would be PISSED beyond belief right now Not because it’s a bad place or anything, just because I’d be so mad if I had read any of the spoilers or saw any of the pictures (which was included in the spoiler posts there supposedly).

Now just so that EVERYONE knows, I will NOT be coming online next week… I won’t be visiting forums, groups, nothing… I want to finish the book without fear of running into the ending somewhere online . Hope no one minds and if you do well tough luck, lol!
